Service Description
The Forest Stewardship Program is a grant funded program ran by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR). For 2020 the grant pays for $200.00 + $0.50/acre of the final cost of the management plan. This plan has a simple informative layout and provides all the crucial elements required for the Qualified Forest Program (QFP) as well as funds from the Environmental Quality Incentive Program (EQIP) through the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS-USDA). Plan includes detailed maps (property boundary, units, soil, etc.), unit descriptions, land use type descriptions, special resources, management techniques, management schedule, resources, and much more! Plan length can be for 10 or 20 years. Note: Forested land on property must exceed 20 acres in size to qualify.
